SALARY RANGE: $17.30 – $18.30

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Since 1846, our world-renowned passenger vessels have been providing up close boat tours in Niagara Falls, NY, USA to customers near and far. The 2020 season saw the debut of two new, all-electric, emission-free vessels, the first of their kind built in the U.S.

JOB SUMMARY

This position’s primary focus is general maintenance and upkeep of the Maid of the Mist facilities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery receiving and distribution

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, clean sinks, countertops, microwaves & refrigerators in lunchroom
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves & refrigerators in lunchroom
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners & clean receptacles as necessary
• Cleaning of windows & windowsills in elevator & maintenance buildings
• Perform Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping of floors & stairs as necessary
• Wear proper protection equipment when necessary
• Maintains proper labeling & usage of all cleaning agents
• Maintains the janitor closet in a clean & organized manor
• General maintenance of grounds, docks & vessels
• Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps
• Closing observation deck
• Other duties or tasks may be assigned based on organizational needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the role applicants MUST meet the following criteria.

• Custodial Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)
• Strong attention to detail follow-through
• Able to work well under pressure
• Perform tasks independently with limited or no direction
• Able to work professionally with the public
• Able to maintain a stationary position throughout the shift

ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS: Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, light lifting, carrying. All the ergonomic requirements must be performed without significant risk of injury to oneself or others or otherwise demonstrate or explain how one can perform essential functions listed above.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to clearly read, speak, and understand English. Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions while working independently. Must be authorized to work in the US . Background check may be required.
