Maid of the Mist begins operations once winter ice from Lake Erie has cleared the Niagara River and the ice boom at the river’s entrance is removed. The ice boom is managed by an international commission and utility partners, is weather-dependent, and is outside our control. Opening dates have ranged from April to May, and confirmation is often received only days in advance. Updates will be posted on this website.
Rates, schedules, and operations are subject to change without notice due to weather conditions, operational requirements, or safety considerations.
