COMPANY OVERVIEW

Since 1846, our world-renowned passenger vessels have been providing up close boat tours in Niagara Falls, NY, USA to customers near and far. The 2020 season saw the debut of two new, all-electric, emission-free vessels, the first of their kind built in the U.S.

JOB SUMMARY

This position’s primary focus is assisting the Warehouse Supervisor in the oversight of company-wide internal logistics of retail products, operations ponchos, supplies and equipment to and from the warehouse, corporate offices, and park location. The Warehouse Assistant Supervisor will lead by example and help manage a team of approximately 10 employees.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administration
    • Manage Celerant Inventory control system, receiving, processing, and transferring merchandise to store
    • Manage corporation supplies and inventory outside Celerant
    • Supervise a team of approximately 9 employees including 2 drivers, and 7 associates
  • Daily Operations Management
    • Schedule
      • Daily hours of operation are Monday – Sunday, 8 am – 4:30 pm throughout the operating season
      • Hours of operations for holidays during the operating season are Monday – Sunday, 6 am – 9 pm (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
      • Daily hours of operations are Monday-Friday outside of the operating season
      • Operating season typically runs from April 1 – late November/early December
  • Daily Tasks
    • Supervise delivery of new ponchos, and pickup used ponchos for recycling
    • Coordinate off premises pickup and delivery of employee uniforms, electronic recycling, scrap yard disposal, Marine Operations supplies and equipment
    • Ensure that proper merchandise storage practices are adhered to
    • Coordinate and assist when needed in performing the daily tasks including, but not limited to:
      • Unloading trucks
      • Processing merchandise and supplies
      • Distribution to other departments, ticketing merchandise
      • Baling ponchos
      • Routine building maintenance and grounds clean up
      • Driving company box truck
      • Other duties or tasks may be assigned based on organizational needs
  • Property Management
    • Maintain building, property, and equipment
    • Preventive maintenance and inspections for trucks and liftgates, forklift, electric straddle stacker, scissor lift, etc
    • Coordinate warehouse facility services and inspections including:
      • Security and fire monitoring
      • Pest control
      • Pallet disposal
      • Fire Sprinkler System
      • Fire extinguisher inspection
    • Train and implement security and safety protocol
    • Manage Modern disposal trash and cardboard recycling schedule

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the role applicants MUST meet the following criteria.

  • Previous warehouse or retail experience of 5+ years preferred
  • Competence in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience with Celerant web-based Inventory Control System preferred
  • Able to lift 40+ lbs. continuously throughout the day and climb ladders
  • Supervisory and training experience
  • Scheduling and time and attendance payroll experience, such as UKG
  • Clear, effective, and efficient communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Valid NYS driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT physical to drive the company 22′ box truck

ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS: Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, light lifting, carrying. All the ergonomic requirements must be performed without significant risk of injury to oneself or others or otherwise demonstrate or explain how one can perform essential functions listed above.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to clearly read, speak, and understand English. Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions while working independently. Must be authorized to work in the US. Background check may be required.
